MyAccess Online Banking - Part II

So here I was so fustrated about not being able to login at all to Bank of America's Online Banking.

So I decided to call in and see why I couldnt use the MyAccess Online ID, I had created to login to Online Banking.

I spoke to one of B of A's representatives who informed me that I wasnt signed up for Online Banking at all. I could not get an explanation as to what would happen to my previously created Online ID. Though to her credit she was very helpful. Sharing similar experiences, etc.

So here I create an Online Banking Online ID (with 8 character passcode). I log on, everything is cool.

I only had $100 to start in MyAccess checking account. That's not very much if you are trying to pay bills. So I went ahead and transferred some extra cash from my non-MyAccess savings account.

Turns out there's a cut off time for transfers at around 2pm. I checked back after 2pm to see if my accounts were updated but nothing!

I called B of A again and asked about the transfer stuff. I was told that since I had just opened the checking account they could not help me with doing transfers and that I couldnt make transfers between accounts through Online Banking.

That seemed kind of odd to me, so I went back online and checked the Transfer status.

Sure enough it had been processed. So I called B of A again, this time I told them I had a transaction number and that I wanted to find out if the transfer was being made or not.

At this point I was redirected to their Online Banking department. At Online Banking department I was told that the main Custome Service department has no idea about Online Banking. Also that my transaction was processed but my accounts would not be updated until the next day.

I'm still perplexed as to why transfers of funds are not immediate, after all this is Online Banking....

MyAccess Online Banking! (or how Bank of America f***d with my hopes)

So here I have this bank account with Bank of America, and I decided I wanted to get into the whole Online Banking stuff.

So I'll talk about my experience in third person, through the magic of third personification.

...

Esteban is excited about Online Banking. Esteban goes on Bank of America website.

Esteban is confused as to where to go. Esteban says "where do I go?"

Esteban stumbles to the online checking section. Esteban is filled with glee but is then clubbed in the head by several online banking/checking options.

Esteban asks co-worker S (since we don't have approval to use full name), about checking accounts. S tells Esteban that "Washington Mutual is kick ass".

Ok so S didn't quite say that, in fact S didnt say that at all, S was more like "Dont be stupid, Bank of America sux0rs". Actually S didnt say that either...but you get the point. Esteban = stupid and stubborn. S = probably right.

Esteban doesn't listen and goes with Bank of America anyways. Signs up for MyAccess checking (all the perks make it droolworthy).

Esteban waits two days. Actually 4 days. 2 days = 4 days on business weekends.

Esteban gets account, is approved! Yay!!!

Esteban is psyched. Then Esteban tries logging in, succeeds but this isnt quite the page he wants. So Esteban goes to main page at B of A and tries to login.

Guess what ? Esteban choose a passphrases greater than 8 characters, so now he can't log in at all because Online Banking is asking for an 8 character password, with no way around it....

....

Nice stupid story huh? I'll try to post an update...

Thank You MTA!! Way To Go!!

So MTA mechanics union is on strike. And who comes to their rescue? The bus drivers union.

Sweet, I was gaining some weight, but with MTA's bus drivers union's "Get Fit This October You Lazy Ass" program, I'll be able to lose those extra pounds and then be able to enjoy a whole 5 gallons of ice cream without remorse.

Thank you MTA!!! Thank you Mr. (or Ms.) MTA Mechanic!!! Thank you Mr. (or Ms.) MTA Bus driver!!

Oh yeah "Ride Metro"

No Ricci Adams and everyone else I AM NOT A BUS DRIVER, I'M A BUS PASSENGER WHO IS STRANDED BY THE GREAT MTA.
