MyAccess Online Banking - Part II

So here I was so fustrated about not being able to login at all to Bank of America's Online Banking.

So I decided to call in and see why I couldnt use the MyAccess Online ID, I had created to login to Online Banking.

I spoke to one of B of A's representatives who informed me that I wasnt signed up for Online Banking at all. I could not get an explanation as to what would happen to my previously created Online ID. Though to her credit she was very helpful. Sharing similar experiences, etc.

So here I create an Online Banking Online ID (with 8 character passcode). I log on, everything is cool.

I only had $100 to start in MyAccess checking account. That's not very much if you are trying to pay bills. So I went ahead and transferred some extra cash from my non-MyAccess savings account.

Turns out there's a cut off time for transfers at around 2pm. I checked back after 2pm to see if my accounts were updated but nothing!

I called B of A again and asked about the transfer stuff. I was told that since I had just opened the checking account they could not help me with doing transfers and that I couldnt make transfers between accounts through Online Banking.

That seemed kind of odd to me, so I went back online and checked the Transfer status.

Sure enough it had been processed. So I called B of A again, this time I told them I had a transaction number and that I wanted to find out if the transfer was being made or not.

At this point I was redirected to their Online Banking department. At Online Banking department I was told that the main Custome Service department has no idea about Online Banking. Also that my transaction was processed but my accounts would not be updated until the next day.

I'm still perplexed as to why transfers of funds are not immediate, after all this is Online Banking....
