So there I was having lunch in the second floor conference room of the public relations office for which I pretend to do tech support for...then all of a sudden the office is way too quiet..
I heard someone say "I'll be right back", leaving a box of pizza in the conference room table. Both doors of the conference room are locked and my friend Oliver wants me to help him debug something in Cocoa.
Then I remember "Hey it's June 16, and the Olympic Torch is passing thru Los Angeles". I heard people saying it's coming. I step out of the conference room, go up to the receptionist and ask. "Hey where's everyone?"
She says "Outside, the Olympic Torch is coming down Larchmont in about 5 minutes"
5 minutes!!!
I say "I better go check it out too.."
Need camera!!
I say "Maybe I should get a camera!" The receptionist agrees.
I run to my desk, to grab my Canon S400, then it hits me. Hey why not use the nice Olympus C-750 the company has...
I rush over to the Production Assistants desk (in two small leaps, as she sits across from me), grab the keys to the Media closet, run to the back of the office ...well i walked really fast... Besides I'm tall and can take long strides even when I walk.
I grab the camera, and quickly run down the stairs with AA batteries in hand!
5 minutes later I had some photos! :)
Back to the conference room camera in hand...hmmm where's Oliver...who cares Em's around he will want to see the pictures...
